Importing to Jordan

Guideline for importing to Jordan: 

  • Identify trade partner, good, or service: learn about the advantages and opportunities in Jordan’s dynamic sectors and browse through our business directory for company contacts.

  • Check trade advantage: ensure duty-free, and possibly quota-free, access for the product made possible through Jordan’s free trade agreements and special economic zones.

  • Streamlined access to the U.S.: In addition to tariff exemptions, Jordanian imports access the U.S. through streamlined procedures due to the Jordan-US FTA, the QIZs, and Generalized System of Preference

  • Required documents for exporter in Jordan
    • Export License
    • Commercial Invoice
    • Certificate of Origin

  • Please check the U.S. Customs and Borders Protection for information necessary to declare imports entering the U.S.

    • Export License (If required by the U.S.)
    • Company License
    • Commercial Invoice
    • Certificate of Origin
    • Certificate of Compliance (from FDA or USDA)
